The African QueenKlassiker mit Audrey Hepburn und Humphrey Bogart im Original mit Untertiteln
During the First World War, Rose Sayer, a spinster ́s demure missionary ́s daughter, and hard-drinking, rough-necked Captain Charlie Allnut flee from the Germans on his outdated ship in German East Africa. During their river journey together, the two have numerous adventures, which helps them overcome their initial mutual dislike and discover feelings of affection for one another. Finally, the two even dare to attack a German gunboat. For the location shoots of his film adaptation of the novel by CS Forester, director John Huston went to the Congo with the cast and crew, where the shooting took place under almost as adventurous circumstances as the film.
